Fig. 11A: Replication and Early Maturation of an Enveloped Virus

The viral genome directs the host cell's metabolic machinery to synthesize viral enzymes and viral parts. During maturation, envelope glycoproteins are transported to the host cell's cytoplasmic membrane as the capsid assembles around the viral genome.
